Shop / stainless steel buck knives
In 1902, a young Kansas blacksmith apprentice named Hoyt Buck was searching for a better way to temper steel, so it would hold an edge longer. His unique approach led to the creation of the first Buck Knife. Handcrafting each knife using worn-out file blades as raw material, Hoyt's handiwork was highly valued during World War II.
Hoyt's eldest son, Al, had relocated from the Pacific Northwest to San Diego, California, a decade earlier after completing his stint in the navy. In 1945, Hoyt and his wife, Daisy, moved in with Al and his young family, and they established the business H.H. Buck and Son. Following Hoyt's passing, Al kept the fledgling custom knife business going until incorporating it as Buck Knives, Inc. in 1961.
Al introduced his son, Chuck, to the knife business at an early age, and both Chuck and his wife, Lori, were actively involved when the company was incorporated. In 1964, the knife industry was revolutionized with the introduction of the Model 110 Folding Hunter, which made Buck Knives a leader in the field – a position the company continues to hold with pride.
Chuck worked his way up through the company, serving as President and CEO for many years before handing over the reins to his son, CJ, in 1999. Chuck remained active as the Chairman of the Board until his passing in 2015. Lori now serves on the Board of Directors and is actively involved with Buck promotional events throughout the United States, continuing Chuck's legacy.
The Buck Knife features a razor-sharp clip point blade made from S35VN steel, offering excellent strength, edge retention, and corrosion resistance. The full tang construction, integrated finger guard, and deep choil make this knife one of the best options for the serious hunter who values quality. The 12-inch overall length and 8.3-ounce weight provide a solid build and smart design.
The grippy canvas Micarta handle is crafted with subtle palm swells for a comfortable grip, while the aluminum pommel and guard provide a perfect combination of beauty and balance. The knife comes with a genuine high-quality protective leather sheath with a snap fastener and an integrated belt loop, allowing for convenient and secure carry.
Since 1902, Buck Knives has proudly offered a lifetime warranty on their products, reflecting the company's commitment to the integrity of their craftsmanship. This knife is proudly made in the USA, with the sheath being imported.
